Theresa Brunello

Theresa earned her Masters of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Loma Linda University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and a California State License as a practicing Speech and Language Pathologist.

Prior to moving to Los Angeles to complete her graduate education, Theresa lived on the Central Coast of California. She has a variety of experiences in diverse treatment settings working with both adult and pediatric populations. Her experiences have included preschool and elementary school settings, acute rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and on campus clinical settings including Loma Linda University’s Clinic for Children with Autism (LLUCCA), accent modification, and fluency (stuttering) clinic. She has also participated in collecting and conducting research in the areas of phonological awareness and pragmatic language.

In addition to in-home therapy, Theresa also works with children in a school setting assessing and providing therapy in the areas of phonology, articulation, receptive and expressive language, pragmatic language and stuttering. She values close communication with caregivers to promote progress and generalization across settings.

In her free time you can usually find her practicing yoga, enjoying the South Bay’s beautiful beaches, biking with her energetic Labrador Henry, and heading to the mountains during the winter season!
